 아마츄어 증폭기는 이른 시간에 만나자는 제의에 흔쾌히 동의했습니다. 우리는 그를 기다리며 촬영 장소인 지인의 사진 작업실을 꾸미기 시작했습니다. 바닥을 신비로운 분위기로 꾸며 구석 쪽의 밋밋한 벽과 대비시켜보자는 취지는 좋았습니다. 왠지 아마츄어 증폭기와 이런 분위기가 어울릴 거라고 생각했거든요. 다만 한 시간 정도 드라이아이스와 초를 가지고 끙끙대다 한 가지 깨달았는데, 바로 우리가 연기 내는 법을 잘 모르고 있으며 연기가 없으면 스무 개 남짓한 초가 몹시 초라해보이고 따라서 우리는 총체적인 삽질을 하고 있었다는 것입니다. 그냥 원래 있던 소파에 앉기로 했지요.

 We met early. While waiting for amature amplifier to join us, we started setting up the photo studio. The idea was to contrast a foggy, mysterious floor with the plain white walls at the corner; it'll go quite well with amplifier, we thought. But what we realized after an hour of messing around with dry ice and candles was that we weren't good at smoke generating, that two dozens of candles do not look exactly good without smoke, and therefore that we totally wasted our effort. Just sit on the couch, why not?

 비가 그쳐 망원유수지로 갔습니다. 평일 오전이라 그런지 이따금 산보하는 한 두 명을 빼면 우리뿐이었고, 아마츄어 증폭기는 흥에 겨워 젖은 세상을 얼마간 자기 것으로 만들었습니다.

 사실 우리는 그가 어떤 의상을 보여줄지 퍽 기대하고 있었습니다. 그런데 아침에 만났을 때는 평범한 바지와 평범한 가디건을 입고 있는 것 아닙니까! 더구나 대화를 나눌 때의 한받은 노래할 때의 아마츄어 증폭기보다 차분하고 조근조근해서, 잠시 컨셉이 일반인 쪽으로 바뀌었나 의심했습니다. 아니야, 나의 아츄는 이렇지 않다능...... 물론 겉옷를 벗자 그런 생각은 싹 사라졌습니다. 공기는 습하고 모든 게 물을 먹어 바래 보이는데, 아마츄어 증폭기 홀로 왕처럼 두드러졌습니다. 예쓰.

 Then it stopped raining and we headed to Mangwon Detention Pond. Early in a weekday as it was, population was scarce; amature amplifier merrily made the wet universe his for minutes.

 Frankly, we actually were eagerly anticipating his costume to be a little shocked when in the morning he got out of the bus; what, plain black jeans? A cardigan? Ordinary clothes? In addition, talking to hanvad was quite a different experience from listening to amature amplifier; hanvad is much more silent and calmer. For a second there we even suspected that his persona itself had changed to look more, um, ordinary. (Nooooo...) But then he took off his cardigan, and gone was our doubt. In the humid air, with everything out of tone because wet, amature amplifier alone stood out like a king. Yeah.
