Teengirl Fantasy
오벌린 대학 출신의 두 친구, 로건 타카하시과 닉 바이스는 전날 공연을 마치고 슈퍼컬러슈퍼의 션네 집에 머물고 있었습니다. 날은 습하고 덥고 간간이 비도 오고, 밖에 나가긴 글러먹었더군요. 뮤지션을 만나고 나서야 작업할 장소를 정하는 못된 습관을 버려야 하는데, 날씨가 따라주질 않아요. 어쨌거나 방 안에 악기를 세팅하고,전등 두 개로 장난을 치고, 그 중 하나를 고장내고 나니 근사한 즉석 무대가 생겼습니다. 하긴 이 느긋한 2인조만큼 침실에 어울리기도 힘드니까요. 여러 겹의 사운드와 비트가 방 안에 가득찬 육 분은 로건의 마이크 세팅이 잘못된 것도 별로 상관 없을 정도로 편안한 시간이었습니다.
Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss, two friends from Oberlin College, were staying at the house of Supercolorsuper's Sean. The air was wet and hot, rain was falling intermittently, there was no way we could do it outdoors. We really should quit the bad habit of deciding locations after meeting the musicians, but the weather never helps. Teengirl Fantasy set up their gears in the room, we played around with a couple of lamps, broke one of them, and voila: a nice makeshift stage. Anyway we couldn't have found someone better suited for bedrooms than this relaxed duo. Layers of sounds and beats filled up the room for six comfortable minutes, and the fact that Logan's mic settings were wrong for the first half of it couldn't affect the coziness.
